Why Go Raw?
Cooking destroys and damages our food in all sorts of ways;
it destroys enzymes, damages the amino-acids which our bodies need to
make protein, damages and destroys many vitamins and minerals,
destroys antioxidants, and creates carcinogens.
It robs foods of their ‘superpowers’.
If we eat our foods raw, with all the wonderful substances in them that
were designed to heal, nourish and protect us, left intact, we are far less
likely than the average to suffer from the minor, and major ailments
that are ‘normal’ in our society.
Some people just want to be ‘normal’
Why would they want to do that???
This is ‘normal’:
Coughs, colds, flu
Asthma, hayfever, eczema
Food allergies
Irritable bowel syndrome
Indigestion
Headaches
High blood pressure
Diabetes
Cancer
Heart disease
Strokes
Parkinson’s
(I could go on…)
After 48 years on this earth (I’m a bit slow…!), I found out what cooking was doing to the precious raw materials that are there to fuel, build and protect our bodies. I’d always been interested in diet and health issues, but at 48 found information about the link between diet and illness that switched on all the lights...
and
I decided I didn’t want to be ‘normal’ any more!
