RAW FOOD FORUMS - generally, most raw food forums are good places to be, immensely valuable for support (or just company!) and also useful socially (I've met many wonderful friends through forums, here and overseas). There are many more excellent raw food forums than those I've listed above.

The only forum I would not recommend is giveittomeraw.com. If you are vegan or vegetarian for ethical reasons as well as health, and/or you seriously want to go raw, please be warned that my experience and that of many others has shown that you will run the risk of 'personal' attack (the moderation is 'loose') and/or being derailed - if not immediately, eventually.

Unfortunately, although there are many good people within the membership, the forum is effectively controlled by a small group of vociferous people (each with their own 'fan base'!) who present themselves as 'angels of light', and of course 'raw food experts' but in my opinion, and experience, are far from either. Having not been a member for a while now, I would love to believe that this has changed, but unfortunately frequent reports from unhappy and bewildered raw fooders tell me that this is not the case.

Latest news is that the owner (and another leading light on the forum) are no longer following a raw food diet, but are now on a high-raw diet. High-raw diets are great diets, but we see the owner on his other site chatting about the pleasures of 'hot soups'and using the words 'dogma' and 'obsessive' in connection with the raw food diet. It's all topsy-turvy - instead of the 100% raw food diet being presented as the ideal, the high-raw diet is presented as the one the 'in' folk follow and the 100% presented (subtlely) as the one for 'obsessives'.

You will also see gi2mraw 'raw fooders' recommending raw 'foods' that are not actually raw at all. Check with me if you're unsure. Be wary, fledgling raw fooders...!
